Remove a Space or Organization

If you're no longer using Mondoo spaces or organizations, you can remove them from your Mondoo account. You can also delete every asset in a space while keeping the space and its configuration, or leave a space or organization you no longer need access to.

All of these actions live in the Danger zone at the bottom of the General settings page. To get there, navigate to the space or organization, select Settings in the side navigation, and then select General.

Each action has a confirmation box that you must check before its button becomes available. For deletions, Mondoo then asks you to confirm one more time in a dialog.

The Danger zone only shows the actions you have permission to perform.

Delete all assets in a spaceCopy Anchor Link

Requires the Owner, Editor, or Asset Manager role in the space. This deletes every asset in the space and all its related data, including reports. The space itself, its members, integrations, and policy configuration remain.

1. In the space's Danger zone, under Delete all assets, check the confirmation box and select Delete.
2. In the Delete all assets? dialog, select Delete All Assets.

Requires the Owner or Space Manager role. This deletes everything in the space, including (but not limited to) assets, integrations, security policy and compliance framework configuration, and reports.

1. In the space's Danger zone, under Delete space, check the confirmation box and select Delete.
2. In the Delete Space? dialog, select Delete Space.

Remove an organizationCopy Anchor Link

Requires the Owner or Organization Manager role. This deletes everything in the organization, including all of its spaces, assets, integrations, security policy and compliance framework configuration, and reports.

1. In the organization's Danger zone, under Delete Organization, check the confirmation box and select Delete.
2. In the Delete Organization? dialog, select Delete Organization.

Leave a space or organizationCopy Anchor Link

If you're a member of a space or organization, you can remove your own access without deleting anything. No special role is required.

• In a space's Danger zone, under Leave space, check the confirmation box and select Leave. Then confirm in the dialog. You keep any access you have to the space through its organization.
• In an organization's Danger zone, under Leave Organization, check the confirmation box and select Leave. Then confirm in the dialog. Leaving an organization also removes your access to every space inside it.

To get access back, someone with permission to manage members must add you again.
