Choose When to Automatically Remove Obsolete Assets

You can have Mondoo automatically remove assets from a space when they go stale. There are two settings:

• Inactive assets: assets that haven't returned a fresh scan in a while.
• Terminated Amazon EC2 instances: EC2 assets that AWS has terminated.

Note: Only team members with Editor or Owner access can perform this task.{" "}

To configure the cleanup rules:

1. Navigate to the space.

2. In the side navigation bar, select Settings.

   

3. On the General Settings tab, set Remove Terminated Assets to 24 Hours to delete terminated EC2 instances after a day, or Never to keep them.

4. Set Remove Inactive Assets to a time span (the longest a non-reporting asset can sit before Mondoo deletes it), or Never to keep inactive assets until you remove them manually.
